It will never be my favourite track as I think it is… not boring, but nothing special. Got Some Rock ‘n Roll Thunder: This was a track I had to listen to a couple of times before really staring to enjoy it. Especially the “doding the bullets, shooting the missils” part sounds great. Miss Adventure: Classic AC/DC song! Strong hit you hard in the face riff, classic Brian vocals, Stevie, Phil and Cliff as stable as ever and the backup vocals sound fantastic.ĭogs Of War: Another track I highly enjoy. Rock The Blues Away is another of my absolute favourites on the album, and possible one of my over all favourites also. Brian sing in kind of the same way, which I highly enjoy. Rock The Blues Away: I do see what people mean when they say, that it is a Little bit like “Anything Goes” from Black Ice. Especially the solo and the way Brian cuts in during it with his “… homerun, let’s play ball!” It first I was not too happy about it, but after listening to it a couple of times it has grown on me. Playball: One of the more “pop” like songs on the album. The riff is strong and the backup vocals done by Stevie Young and Cliff Williams sound great. Rock Or Bust: The title track is also one of the best songs of the album in my opinion. I think the album has the perfect lenght!Īnd the tracks? Are they something the greatest rock ‘n roll band could be proud of? Yes, I definietly think so! Let us take them one at a time:
34 miniutes is a good lenght because you do not get the feeling that the album just had to be done quickly, but at the same time there are no filler tracks. But to me, AC/DC is hit you hard in the face, no bullshit rock ‘n roll, and that kind of rock ‘n roll does not need more than 34 minutes if the songs are good. But then, starting to think about it, I realized that I am quite happy with the lenght of the album, though it is barely 34 minutes long. So, that feeling has gone away by now, so what feeling does the album leave me with? “Oh my God I want more!”-feeling… at first. The reason I have not been writing about before is that I decided that I had to listen to it and get over the “Oh my God, new AC/DC album, my life is completed!”-feeling I knew I would have about it before writing a review of it. Actually I got the album Saturday because Sony Music were shooting a promo video for the album, and everyone in the video got Rock Or Bust for it. Sorry I have not written anything about Rock Or Bust yet.
